Early last fall I was very interested in getting my first hunting dog. I did my research, I was in contact with many kennels around the state, and I was searching for a younger dog that had started training in the field. In September I came across Ryan with PRR. He told me he had a young black lab that showed exceptional potential. Living about seven hours away, Ryan went out of his way to make time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I then made the trip up to meet Boss. Boss was only 9 months old at the time but you would have never guessed it. After seeing Boss perform drills and getting to know his overall demeanor, I knew this was the dog for me. Boss excelled in the field, was obedient to commands, and expressed such a loyal and gentle personality. Boss checked off all the qualities on my list and showed he had great training.
From the start of early waterfowl season to the very last day in February, Boss was right at my side. To say Boss had a great first hunting season would be an understatement. Boss exceeded all my expectations in the field. From hunting out of a boat to hunting out of a layout blind, Boss had all of the Beginner skills and training to be exceptional. In addition to being the crowd’s favorite during a hunt, he also steals many hearts in the house. Boss is a lover who is naturally gentle and a true companion. I have had many friends as well as strangers approach me when I am with Boss to share a compliment or ask where we got him from. We are always eager to tell them about PRR and the great experience we have had with Ryan. Ryan is an exceptional trainer and I couldn't be more satisfied with our experience and new companion.

We purchased our gorgeous yellow lab, Maizey, from Ryan in 2017. She has proven to be an exceptional dog. Maizey is a healthy, fun, smart, good tempered dog who consistently demonstrates unconditional love to all she encounters.
Our family couldn’t be happier with our decision to purchase Maizey, and we wouldn’t be complete without her. She is a huge part of our lives and enjoys our active lifestyle. I purchased Diezel from Ryan Hendrickson in June 2019. Ryan was very easy to work with, letting me really get to know each puppy prior to picking Diezel out. You could tell from his knowledge of each dog in the litter that he cared and knew each one. He was able describe in detail each parent’s traits and abilities. He had pictures along with videos.
I have had dogs all my life and most have been Labradors, in which I have used for hunting grouse and waterfowl. Diezel has been the easiest to train by far. I started to train him immediately and as a 6-month-old pup he was already retrieving ducks from the water. He also did well with grouse considering his really young age at that time. Ryan even gave me some training tips which helped greatly. This past winter as a 9-month Diezel would tag along with me while snow biking and does wonderful following all my commands even with other bikers and dogs on the trail.
Diezel’s main job is to be a family dog. I have a wife and two daughters who are always cuddling or playing with him. He does excellent with all this attention and has a great loving temperament. I could not be happier purchasing Diezel from Ryan Hendrickson.
